Awards and Nominations Committee

Awards and Nominations Committee Charge:  This committee is responsible for developing and implementing the Organization's various award and recognition programs and for developing a slate of candidates for the Organization's annual elections.

2005 Goals and Objectives:

1. Propose a revised awards program describing new awards or revisions to criteria for existing awards by April 1, 2005.
2. Solicit at least three candidates for each award and select candidates for all established OFWIM awards and recognitions by August 30, 2005.
   1. Develop a process for ensuring delivery of information about OFWIM award programs to all appropriate audiences.
   2. Coordinate with the Outreach and Communications Committees to expand audiences and contact networks.
3. Develop a slate of candidates for all OFWIM officer positions that will be open this year.
   1. Enlist at least two volunteers to run for each opening.
   2. Disseminate election ballots at least six (6) weeks prior to the annual meeting.
   3. Evaluate opportunities for Web-based voting.
   4. Receive completed mailed-in election ballots; coordinate on-site voting at the annual meeting.  Present results to OFWIM President at the annual meeting.
4. Professionally complete the duties of the committee as efficiently as possible by:
   1. Convening conference calls to conduct committee business;
   2. Participating in Executive Committee (ExCom) conference calls, as requested, to provide updates about committee activities;
   3. Preparing an annual written report of committee accomplishments for submission to the ExCom and distribution at the annual meeting; and
   4. Present an oral report of accomplishments at the annual business meeting.
